You stay on my mind.
We been up all winters for someone like you and we know that you been up all winters for someone like us.
We don’t even know your name or where you came from
and someday this war will be over so we and our friends will stay together until the end.
Making our way through this motherfucking life.

Come on, we have to do it.

The Violence of Mexican Drug Cartels from visually on Vimeo.

A bitterly violent war against Mexican Drug Cartels wages on across the U.S. border. Tens of thousands are being murdered, and over a million are being forced to flee their homes. U.S. laws and policy play a major role in the conflict’s violence. This video is about understanding the complexities of the war and why it is happening.

Creative Compulsive Disorder & Remembering Zina Nicole Lahr from Stormy Pyeatte on Vimeo.

An interview I did with Aspen Public Radio talking about Zina and how this video came to be.
Aspen Public Radio asked if I could do an interview about Zina. If for some reason you are interested you can check that out here.

In August 2013 my friend Zina asked if I could shoot a video for her portfolio. She needed something that would showcase her work but also tell a little bit about her personality and her interests. We had two days to shoot and edit so we shot an interview and smashed something together to meet our deadline. On November 20, 2013 Zina passed away due to a hiking accident in Ouray, CO. After the funeral I revisited the footage and made this short as an attempt to capture her personality and creativity. I never planned to release it online but now I have a chance to share her and her creations with all of you! For all who are part of the Zina Lahr love bomb, this is for you!

WOW! The response to this video is incredible and completely unexpected! Cindy (Zina’s mother), her family, and I are so blown away by all of this and I want to thank everyone who is taking the time to celebrate the life of my precious friend.
I have received an incredible amount of emails from people who are wishing to donate to the Zina Lahr Memorial Fund. So if you wish to help the family of Zina Lahr you can call the Citizen’s State Bank of Ouray Colorado at (970) 325-4352. You can also donate to the Weehawken Creative Arts Zina Lahr Memorial Scholarship. All the money for this scholarship helps kids pay for art classes in the within Weehawken Creative Arts program located on the western slope of Colorado. Zina did an incredible amount of volunteer work for this wonderful non profit. From props to set pieces Zina was the magic behind it! More info here!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am so happy Zina can continue to inspire.

Ghostly International presents Andy Gilmore from Ghostly International on Vimeo.

A master of color and geometric composition, Andy Gilmore’s work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scales and melodies in music.

Since 2010, Gilmore has been collaborating with Ghostly International, creating several album covers for the artist Gold Panda, along with releasing his own visual compositions under Ghostly International Editions, Ghostly’s art house division dedicated to releasing the work of a growing cadre of talented visual artists.

Andy Gilmore’s extensive list of clients includes Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Fast Company, Wallpaper*, Nike, and Warp Records. He currently lives and works in Rochester, New York.

The Art of Krump “journey to heaven” feat. TightEyez & E.R. from KAIZENPICTURES on Vimeo.

by KAIZENPICTURES ( - films with soul

/ KRUMP – Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise /

Krump is a freestyle dance form popularized 2001 in the streets of South Central, Los Angeles (USA), that is characterized by free, expressive, exaggerated, and highly energetic movement.

The youths who originated krumping, ‘Tight Eyez’ and ‘Big Mijo’, saw the dance as a way for them to escape gang life and to release anger, aggression and frustration in a positive, non-violent way. This was an opposition to street violence, which was prevalent due to violent gangster activities.

With the cinema documentary ‘RIZE’ (2006) by the Hollywood Director “David LaChapelle,” Krump has spread all around the world.

Today, Krumping has world wide influence in the dance culture, but Krumping still has difficulty gaining acceptance by our society as an art form. Primarily, because people do not understand this dance form and its spirit.
